What mode is my FortiVoice system in? 

  1. Pick up a local extension.
  2. Enter command mode — analog phone: press #. IP phone: press *55.
  3. Enter password (if required).
  4. Dial 30#.
  5. You hear, “The system is in Mode x”.
  6. Or you can open the FortiVoice management software to the Scheduling page. The current mode is indicated in the Modes section.

How do I switch modes? 

  1. Pick up a local extension.
  2. Enter command mode — analog phone: press #. IP phone: press *55.
  3. Enter password (if required).
  4. Dial 31# to switch to Mode 1.
  5. Dial 32# to switch to Mode 2.

How do I switch the modes remotely? 

  1. Call into FortiVoice.
  2. At the auto attendant, press # to enter command mode.
  3. Enter password (if required).
  4. Dial 31# to switch to Mode 1.
  5. Dial 32# to switch to Mode 2.

Why is FortiVoice not switching modes automatically, or at the correct time?

Automatic Mode Switching is not enabled.

  1. Open the FortiVoice management software to the Scheduling page.
  2. Check the Use Automatic Mode Switching checkbox.
  3. Verify that the time is set correctly at the top right of the Scheduling section. If you need to adjust the time, click the Adjust button.
  4. Save settings to FortiVoice.
