Why can't I get back to the auto attendant at the end of my call? 

If you're using 3-way calling, pressing ## at the end of a call disconnects the called party and plays the auto attendant. If the called party hangs up before you press ##, the call gets disconnected and ## has no effect. You will need to call back into FortiVoice.


Why can't I use the Call Bridge feature when I call in? 

The Call Bridge accounts may not be activated. 

  1. Check the PIN (User Privileges assigned to it).
  2. Check the User Privileges for Call Bridge enabled.
  3. Check the Hunt Group Access in your User Privileges.

How can I make another call without tying up another line? 

Using Same Line Connect. You will require 3-way calling from your phone company.

  1. Open the FortiVoice management software to the Telephone Lines page.
  2. Check the PIN (User Privileges assigned to it).
  3. Check the User Privileges for Call Bridge enabled.
  4. Check the Hunt Group Access in your User Privileges.
  5. Click the Edit button in the Outgoing Access section.
  6. Check the Allow the use of Same Line connect (Dial Hunt Group 80) checkbox.
  7. Save settings to FortiVoice.

 

Same line connect may not be available in all markets.


Why do I get a busy tone after I enter my hunt group and password? 

The lines associated with that hunt group are busy. If this occurs frequently, you should add the 3-way calling service to your line(s) and enable same line connect.

  1. Open the FortiVoice management software to the Telephone Lines page.
  2. In the Phone Line Services section, check the 3-Way Calling/Conference checkbox.
  3. Go to the Call Bridge (DISA) page.
  4. Choose the Call Bridge account you wish to use.
  5. Click the Edit button in the Hunt Group Access section.
  6. Check the Allow the use of Same Line connect (Dial Hunt Group 80)checkbox.
  7. Save settings to FortiVoice.

I get an invalid password warning after I enter my password.

You may have entered an incorrect password or you may not have permission to access the hunt group.

  1. Open the FortiVoice management software to the Call Bridge (DISA) page.
  2. Click on the Call Bridge account you want to modify.
  3. The Hunt Group Access section shows which hunt groups can be accessed. To add or change the hunt groups, click the Edit button.

Why do I get the message: “3-way calling is unavailable on this line”?

You have tried to use same line connect on a line that does not have 3-way calling from the phone company. Use a different hunt group or add the 3-way calling service to this line.
